Estimation of Jaw Muscles Exercises Effectiveness in Comparison to Medication in Treating Patients with Temporomandibular Joint Disorders

Aims: This clinical study is aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of exercise therapy in patients with temporomandibular joint disorder and comparing them who take medications. Materials Methods: 44 were divided into 2 groups, 22 instructed to perform jaw exercises other given a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug muscle relaxant. Clinical examination joints muscles, including pain, spasm, interincisal distance, presence locked joint. These done pre post-treatment within three visits. Results: clinically, there was no actual evidence group, medication except for relief group. Statistically, it showed significant differences variance after two visits between groups. Conclusion: not providing definite treatment efficacy short-time trials disorder. However, are an effective than medical agents.
